Youth Projects and Activities
Growth by Design Leadership & Arts provides youth 12- 24 with opportunities to develop life skills, leadership, proactivity, and independence through various events. Projects include hands-on activities such as urban gardens, arts and crafts, leadership days, educational tours and camps. Youth will improve hard skills through writing, photography, video editing, public speaking, communication, and team building.
The reality is that many youths are not able to access quality instruction and nurturing because of the lack of funds and the cutback in school funding.
Urban Community Garden:
Promoting healthy living, sustainability and Food Security. In 2024 we are focusing on the East GTA & West Tri-City Area.
Food Security is everyone's business, and youth knowing where their food comes from empowers them to become contributors to healthy living and sustainability.
Youth & Family
Our organization’s motto – "Choice not chance determines destiny," gives Youth access to opportunities like the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Youth workshops. These resources will enable them to become confident and capable future leaders of their community.
Youth will learn the time-tested principles of the 7 Habits of Effective Youth, and how to apply them to the tough issues and life-changing decisions they face. This workshop is full of fun, relevant, and interactive exercises. They laugh while they learn with a newfound belief in their abilities. The sessions are interactive virtual and in-person.

Growth By Design Leadership and Arts Group is a community-based organization dedicated to developing youth in leadership and the arts.
Through exposure, youth develop confidence, responsibility, and character. We are committed to fostering the personal growth and career development of our members through technology, projects and activities. Workshops and other services are provided with the inclusion of computer-related training . In addition Youth find expression through leadership in the formation of faith. Youth Learn the Habits for Success and Significance.
Arts Groups - local communities creating space for youth
DEVELOPING BALANCE
From Music Production, Communication, Vocal Arts, to Litergical Dance, Gardening, Cooking, and Crafts. Volunteer leaders share their knowledge and give of their time to mentor and teach youth. The Litergical Dance is taught as a tool for self-expression, identity development, and personal growth. Vocal Arts include vocal technique, music theory, music history, diction, as well as classes focused on solo and ensemble singing. Communication focuses on researching, organizing and writing persuasive messages.
The activities are closely aligned and each reinforcing a unified mission of holistic community development rooted in faith, creativity and personal development.
